Forefront Arts provides on-site performing arts training at several locations around metro-Atlanta. We believe the arts offer life skills that will be used by our students in every area of their lives. Skills learned through performing include confidence, public-speaking, flexibility and leadership. We are passionate about educating young people and offering them opportunities to expand themselves as individuals and as artists.
We offer leadership opportunities and internships for advanced students who want to continue their education and exposure in arts education and arts management.

Internships are app. 2-3 hours of work per week, depending on each position's specific responsibilities and the time of year. Interns working on our Young Actors Ensemble production will have a much lighter fall schedule and more responsibilities closer to the production, whereas interns working in the weekly classes would have the same schedule all year. Interns are given the opportunity to attend staff meetings and have a say in class ideas or overall planning but their attendance and contribution is completely optional. Occasionally a task will be given to an intern to complete throughout the week, depending on the internship responsibilities. Some internships will be mainly completed at home on their own time while others will require weekly meetings with the Forefront Arts staff. All interns should expect to develop a relationship with their supervising Forefront Arts staff member including mentorship of duties, discussion of future goals and ideas, and encouragement and possible recommendation or facilitation for future artistic ventures.

Interested students must be in the 11th grade or above and able to commit for the entire school year. Classes and productions are offered at various locations so please specify which locations you are interested in applying for. To download an intern application click here.
